The Ginger Lemonade ingredient:

  1. 1/2 to 3/4 cup fresh ginger root
  2. ¾ cup granulated sugar, divided
  3. ½ cup boiling water
  4. 1 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
  5. 4 cups cold water

Instructions for making Ginger Lemonade:

  1. Wash the ginger, leaving it unpeeled. Slice it into rounds. Add the ginger to a blender with 1/2 cup of sugar and boiling water. Blend until it’s entirely smooth, about 1 minute. Pass the liquid through a fine-mesh strainer within a pitcher.
  2.  Add the lemon juice, cold water, and the remaining 1/4 cup of sugar to the jug. Stir according to combine.
  3.  Add 2 handfuls of ice to the jug and serve.
