Mexican Beef Burger Ingredients:
- ½ lbs ground beef chuck
- ¼ cup cilantro, chopped
- 2 Tbsp green onion (sliced thinly)
- 1 jalapeno, finely-chopped
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp grated lime peel
- ¾ tsp salt
- 4 slices Monterey Jack Cheese
- 4 Kaiser rolls or Mexican bolillo rolls, split
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp lime juice
- 2 tsp grated lime peel
- 1 Tbsp jalapeno, finely chopped
- 2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
Instructions:
Take a medium bowl, gently mix together beef, cilantro, green onion, jalapeño, garlic, chili powder, 1 tsp lime peel, and salt. Shape into 4 patties about ¾ inch thick.
Grill 8 to 10 minutes or until thoroughly cooked and no longer pink in center, turning once.
Top each burger with 1 slice of Mexican cheese; grill 1 minute or until cheese has melted. Spread each roll with the Jalapeño-Lime Mayonnaise. Place lettuce on rolls; top with burgers.
For Jalapeno-Lime Mayonnaise: mix ½ cup mayonnaise, 2 Tbsp lime juice then 2 tsp grated lime peel, 1 Tbsp jalapeño, finely chopped. In a small bowl, stir together all ingredients.
